Jayne made it into the paper a few weeks ago in the Weekend of the Courier Mail. The article was all about women in brewing. Jayne is the QLD state chapter lead for the Australian Pink Boots Society. Pink Boots aims to empower women in the brewing industry through education.

We will have an acoustic duo at Helios on Saturday 14th April. These two guys do a great set and play all those pub songs you want to sing along to. We were humming ‘The Piano Man’ by Billy Joel while cleaning the brewery after last time they played. Loved it! (PS, hope you got that song stuck in your head now too.)

Our first "Show us Yours" event is being held at Helios this Thursday the 12th April from 4pm.

Our first Home Brewers night to show off your home brewed master pieces for this months style which is Pale Ales. US or Australian styles are both fine.

Simply bring along your finest Pale Ale, leave any notes and also your contact details. Head Brewer Charlie will judge then against BA style guidelines and send you feedback.

Cost is free to participate, we've got some cracking beers on here for you to have a look at and I'll be a fairly open book on any questions you might have plus will run brewery tours for anyone interested.

Next months beer will be IPA's. May as well start with beers everyone will be likely to have around.
