The core range at Helios Brewing Company has had a recent facelift, with some fancy new full print cans! Let's get familiar with the beers and their new looks.
Poseidon Pale Ale was one of the first beers to go into can at Helios, way back in late 2018 (alongside Midas Golden Ale).
The original Poseidon may have been labelled as a Pale Ale, but shared more in common with a California Common, in terms of taste and style. Still refreshing and easy drinking for the weather in Queensland, but distinctly different from other local Pale Ale offerings.
It proved a popular go-to beer on both tap and in can for the early Helios fans.
These days, Poseidon has slowly morphed back towards a traditional Pale Ale style and recipe. It delivers waves of passionfruit, citrus and pine atop a crisp, pale malt base. Full flavoured and sessionable, it's the perfect Pale Ale to enjoy anywhere, anytime, all year round.
Along with the tweaks in taste over the past few years, the can has undergone a design overhaul to sit with the new look core range.
Gone is the cartoon of Poseidon riding atop a dolphin, the can now features a more slick and modern feel with a trident taking centreplace in the Helios sun logo. A nod to the Greek god of the sea.
